Q: What exactly does website migration mean and what does it include?
A: When your present hosting provider can no longer answer the necessities of your web site, or if you face frequent downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the support staff to reply back to you, it may be a smart idea to switch your provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your web sites as well as your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At eTesLa Servers, we understand that this can often be hard & time–consuming. For this reason, we’ll accomplish all that for you for free!Our professional technical staff members will move your web site content from your current provider to us. Our techs have plenty of experience with web site migration and can handle everything – from a typical WordPress weblog or Joomla™–powered site, to an extremely elaborate, custom–built web application.

Q: How much time will it take for my site to be migrated to your platform?
A: While we can’t give you a precise time frame, since there are lots of factors, including the size of the files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will do our very best to migrate your site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (in case the website content is not very large).

Q: What details will I be required to provide to your Website Migration Department?
A: We will require the login information for your current hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the web site’s name (domain name).

Q: My present hosting account has sensitive data inside. How can I trust you?

Q: Will my web site be unavailable during the transfer?
A: While we migrate your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your previous hosting provider. As soon as the transfer is finished, we’ll make certain that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your content is not affected prior to informing you that the transfer is finished. After that, we will instruct you how to transfer the domain name to your hosting account with us and how to modify the DNS resource records.

Q: Will my current hosting provider need to provide any information/assistance?
A: While we migrate your content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We will not contact them in any way.

Q: Which hosting platforms do you support?
A: Yep. We support all traditional Linux–based web hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–based web hosting platforms, as we do not offer Windows web hosting services ourselves.We also do not support proprietary website creation and management user interfaces like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
