Hosted Domains
What precisely are Hosted Domains? What's the difference between a regular domain name and a hosted domain name?
Registering a domain name and hosting one is often mistaken by many people to be one and the same thing. They're actually two separate services - the domain name registration is the actual name and nothing more, while the hosted domains feature refers to the amount of already registered domain addresses that you can accommodate in the same web hosting account and have site data and e-mails for them. Your websites will function in exactly the same way regardless of whether the domain addresses are registered and hosted in one place or are registered with company A and directed to company B. Simply registering a domain name without hosting it will give you ownership, but will not allow you to have a web site until you host this domain in some account so that records for it are created and it starts opening the information from that account.

Hosted Domains in Shared Hosting
One of the differences between our shared hosting plans is the amount of domains which you can host in a single account. Having more domain names with functioning sites for them usually means using more server resources, hence the more domains you wish to host, the more expensive the plan. That way, we give you the opportunity to pick a more affordable plan if you wish to have just 1 or a couple of web sites. In the same time, you can upgrade the package or keep the current one and only add additional slots for hosting more domains as part of your existing account, so you will never be limited by this feature. Regardless of how many domains you host, there is no limit how many domains you can register in your account and it is up to you if you will also host them or you'll forward them to already existing domains through the parking feature.
- Hosted Domains in Semi-dedicated Hosting
When you buy a semi-dedicated server plan through our company, you'll be able to host as many domains as you wish no matter whether you register them here or you already own them through a different company. We've decided not to restrict this feature given that the semi-dedicated plans are very powerful and the load they're able to handle is quite high, therefore it would not add up to be able to host a restricted number of domain names. The accounts are managed via the Hepsia CP, which will provide you with full control over all of your hosted domains. You can add a new domain address with a couple of clicks and everything is done easily and intuitively, as opposed to rival Control Panels where you might even have to switch between different accounts to handle a couple of domain addresses. In the event you register a new domain on our end, it'll be hosted automatically in your semi-dedicated account.- Hosted Domains in VPS Hosting
If you purchase a virtual private server plan through our company, you'll be able to host as many domain addresses as you would like. You will have your own server, therefore it is up to you how you will use its resources. You will be able to register new domains via the billing account of your VPS or add domains that you have already registered with another company. Since we offer you 3 website hosting Control Panels for the servers, you are going to have different choices for the hosting part - with Hepsia, a newly registered domain name is hosted automatically on the server and you'll manage all hosted domains from a single location (i.e. there are not any main and add-on domains), while with DirectAdmin and cPanel you're able to create a separate account for each domain address which you want to host on the server. The last option is helpful if you'd like to give access to the domains to other people. - Hosted Domains in Semi-dedicated Hosting
