Mailing list members are people that have subscribed to a specific list to get periodic email messages, such as weekly newsletters. If the software program that is used to manage the mailing list allows it, you can also approve members manually, but in this case such emails may be regarded as unsolicited and reported as spam by the users. Traditionally, these mailing list members can unsubscribe from a mailing list by clicking a hyperlink in the emails they get, or you, being the mailing list admin, can remove them manually if they request this or if you decide that some of the mailing list members should not belong to the list any longer. Each member will be able to view only their own email address in the "To" field of the messages they receive, but not the addresses of the remaining members of the mailing list.
Mailing List Members in Shared Hosting
The feature-loaded Majordomo mailing list management software that is included with our Linux shared hosting will grant you total command over the members of any list that you create through the Hepsia Control Panel. You’ll be able to add or remove users by sending a message to majordomo@your-domain.com, so you can achieve this from any place without even having to sign in to the hosting Control Panel. If you import a mailing list member manually, they will get a confirmation request that they need to agree to in order to register for the mailing list. Once they do this, they will get an email with the list’s guidelines and options. You will also be able to view a complete list of all your subscribers and to keep an eye on who’s receiving your newsletters or any other sort of periodic email correspondence.
Mailing List Members in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you get a semi-dedicated server from us and you create mailing lists via the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel, you will be able to manage all your mailing list subscribers without effort. We provide one of the most widely used mailing list clients called Majordomo. It will allow you to view all your subscribers, to add new or to delete existing ones by sending an email to the mailing list’s administrative email address, so you can manage everything without even having to log into your hosting Control Panel. Of course, only you, as the mailing list moderator, will be able to accomplish that. New users have to approve their membership, so the emails that you send out will be authorized and you won’t have to bother about messages getting reported as spam. We also have a collection of instructional articles where you can find more info about how to administer the list.
