A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam messages, you can use the catch-all feature with email filters so as to receive only real emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without effort if you have a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet exceptionally simple to use, and it will allow you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in the account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a tiny button conveniently located right next to each one of them. With just a single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the contextual menu that will pop up. In case any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
